Highlander Day of Service Photo Gallery

The inaugural Highlander Day of Service was held on April 25 where alumni, students, parents, and staff organized 25 projects, engaging over 530 constituents throughout California.

Projects by Alumni:

  • Removed 10 lbs of trash from the beach in Orange County
  • Made over 800 kits for school children in Rancho Cucamonga
  • Worked at a youth center in San Jose
  • Prepared 100 food bags for the hungry in Riverside
  • Assisted with sorting donations for a homeless shelter in Granada Hills
  • Packed 200 bags for the homeless in San Bernardino
  • Served over 300 hot meals to the hungry and supported a Women’s Shelter in Los Angeles
  • Removed an invasive species of plants from a preserve in San Francisco

 

Projects by Student Groups:           

  • Painted the C (Student Alumni Association)
  • Worked with Helping Hands Food Pantry in San Bernardino (Sigma Omicron Pi)
  • March of Dimes (Alpha Phi Omega)
  • Street clean up (Vietnamese Student Association)
  • College Fair (GSOE)
  • Senior Gala (Circle K International)
