Inaugural Classes Graduate

Two of UCR’s inaugural classes will graduate and we couldn’t be more excited for these Highlanders! The School of Medicine and School of Public Policy (masters program) will both celebrate their first class with ceremonies this June.

UCR Match Day 2017 Small Files

After many years and efforts from the community, the first public medical school created in California in more than forty years was established at UCR in 2013 with fifty students. After four years in the program, the medical students received their matches on March 17, 2017.  On Match Day, all forty students within the program received a match to a residency program where they will start their medical careers after graduation. Thirty-three of the forty students will stay in California for their residency, with ten matched for programs in the Inland Empire. A list of locations includes:

The Commencement ceremony for the inaugural class will take place on June 9, 2017 at the UCR Student Recreation Center. The ceremony will be viewable via a live webcast. A link to the webcast will be provided on the Commencement home page.

School of Public Policy

In the fall of 2015, UCR introduced their newest professional school, the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program with twenty-nine students. Over the last two years, these students have furthered their education and knowledge to become policymakers solving issues within the Inland Empire.

The Commencement ceremony for the inaugural class will take place on Saturday, June 17 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Culver Center.
